Megan Morgan VMD, DACVIM (Board Certified Internal Medicine Specialist)
Dr. Morgan was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech. She completed her veterinary training at the University of Pennsylvania and remained at the University of Pennsylvania for her rotating internship and internal medicine residency. Dr. Morgan attained board certification in veterinary internal medicine in 2008.
After completing her residency, Dr. Morgan moved to Los Angeles, California, where she worked at a large referral practice for 4 years and developed an interventional radiology and endoscopy program. She then moved back to the east coast (Connecticut), where she worked at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists for 7.5 years, as an internal medicine consultant for a large reference laboratory for 2 years, and as a mobile internal medicine specialist for 2.5 years. While working as a mobile internal medicine specialist, she consulted with Greenfield Animal Hospital on many cases and was then invited to join the team to open an internal medicine department when the hospital moved to its new location in August of 2024.
Dr. Morgan enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, including urology, nephrology, gastroenterology, immunology, endocrinology, and hematology. She has expertise in non- cardiac ultrasonography, endoscopy, interventional radiology, and interventional endoscopy. While working as a consultant, she enjoyed working as a team with primary care veterinarians to help them provide their patients with the best care possible, and this very much carried over into her work as a mobile internist.
Morgan’s husband is a veterinary surgeon, and they have two children - a 13-year-old boy, and a 10- year-old girl, a dog (a “Finnish Tuxedohound” named Linus), and a cat (a long-haired orange tabby of questionable temperament named Einstein). In her time outside of the hospital, she enjoys chasing her children to hockey tournaments and gymnastics meets, reading, knitting, hiking, boating, and any activity involving sunshine, a beach, and hot weather.
